Thank you for being a valued member of the Estate Agents Registration Board.

As a practicing Estate Agent in Kenya, you need to be registered with the Estate Agents Registration Board, which is mandated under law to register Estate Agents. Only EARB registered and licensed Estate Agents with a current practicing annual certificate can conduct Estate Agency in Kenya.
Persons seeking registration need to have a minimum of a KCSE certificate, two years minimum experience and recommendation from a registered estate agent, and MUST be a Kenyan citizen.
Other attachments required in the application are;

1. Passport size photograph
2. Copy of your ID/Passport
3. Certified copies of all Educational Certificates (KCSE minimum)
4. Updated CV
5. Letter of recommendation from a registered Estate Agent who holds a current practicing license and has trained you for more than two years and has been registered with the board for more than two years. The sample recommendation letter to be used is attached on the link, ensure that your recommender uses this same format: EARB SAMPLE RECOMMENDATION LETTER
6. A current copy of the Annual Practicing Licence from your Recommender
7. Current Certificate of Good Conduct from the DCI
8. Certificate of good standing from professional membership body (IF ANY)
9. Receipt of KSH 2,000 confirming payment of application fee

To register with the Estate Agents Registration Board (EARB) in Kenya, you can follow these steps:

1. Fill in the online application from the EARB member portal https://members.estateagentsboard.or.ke/application/register: You will need to provide your personal details such as your full name, ID or passport number, and contact information.
2. Attach the required documents: You will need to attach certified copies of your academic qualifications, your National ID or passport, your Certificate of Good Conduct and a recommendation letter from your recommender.
3. Recommendation from a registered estate agent; registered with EARB for more than two years; who you've worked with/ trained under for more than two years.
4. Pay the application fee: The application fee is Ksh 2,000.

5. Append the transaction code (e.g RDH1DLCYU1) to the application form field required.
6. Submit the online application.

Once you submit the application documents, the board will vet your application and after a period you will receive a confirmation inviting you to attend an interview with the Estate Agents Registration Board, to which an interview fee of KSH 5,000 is also charged as you proceed.

7. If your application is successful, you will be issued with a registration certificate and a unique registration number. As a registered estate agent, you will be required to comply with the EARB’s code of conduct and regulations.
8. If you pass the interview, you then register as a real estate agent subject to payment of the registration fee, KSH 10,000 and Annual Practicing Certificate fee KSH 7,000 and/or any other fees prescribed by the board during this period.
